When we take on a new job requisition, our team does
its own due diligence to understand what the client is specifically
looking for. Our recruiters take many steps to understand the need
clearly from the client as well. We have found that we can handle
most technology positions. If there is something we don’t feel
we can tackle, we will not accept the requisition. Stone Search will
not send out a lot of paper or emails with inappropriate candidates,
recognizing that your time is limited. Our account representative
will call in to inform of the status of each search and inquire about
the status of other suitable candidates in the pipeline. If there
is someone we present who may not be 100% qualified, we will make
it expressly clear to you before submission.
If necessary, we will give our professional opinion on the requisition
and its ability to be filled. In today’s market we have found
companies usually have a big list of requirements they desire in a
candidate. Often, it is unrealistic to find a candidate who can do
everything. We have no problem sharing our candid opinion and helping
you to identify the critical competencies for each position to make

Search utilizes is very selective and extremely rigorous. We discover
many applicants from a variety of sources, including our own database
of contacts, position-specific advertisements and company sourcing.
Our recruiters do extensive screening and qualifying of candidates
for their suitability before they get presented to a client. This
includes a face-to-face interview with a recruiter and a technical
interview with a skilled engineer. In addition, we perform extensive
reference checking, requiring each candidate to submit their previous
managers that they reported to.
Stone Search practices extreme confidentiality. Applicants are instructed
to keep information about an opportunity suited for them confidential.
Each recruiter is explicit in informing applicants that their resumes
will not be sent out to a client without their approval. Once we decide
that the candidate is a suitable fit, we present the job to the applicant.
Candidates then are asked if another agency is representing them at
the selected company for the same opportunity. If there is no duplication,
our recruiters make clear to candidates that Stone Search will be
the agency representing them, and inform them to communicate that
to another recruiter who may present the same opportunity. In addition,
we coach candidates on proper interviewing methods for their success.
Specifically, we advise each candidate to carefully answer the questions
that are asked to them and not to go off onto any tangents.
We always follow the rules of the road as set by our clients for submission
and scheduling of candidates. We keep in touch with applicants usually
on a weekly or even daily basis. We ask each candidate to provide
us with their schedules for each given week, to help make the interview
scheduling process easier.
Any candidate we submit will always be a close match for the list
of requirements as communicated by the client. Our team will only
present candidates who have exactly the qualifications that the client
is looking for. Stone Search very strongly stands behind our selections
and therefore the “hit rate” for the candidates we present
is high.
Once a candidate is selected and an offer extended, we remain as diplomatic
as possible to encourage both sides to come to a mutually beneficial
agreement. We follow the wishes of our clients in their option to
extend the offer via Stone Search, or directly to the candidate. If
we are presenting the financial compensation, our organization uses
professional practices of negotiation to come to a resolution.
